I am Tanmay Chanda, a data scientist and R and Shiny developer. I build production Shiny applications, and I maintain three R packages on CRAN.

What I can help with

Production Shiny apps. I build modular Shiny apps with golem, for real users. This includes data import and validation, interactive tables and dashboards, Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, deployment to Azure, and unit and end-to-end tests.

Shiny that people must trust. Some apps are in regulated or audit-heavy settings, where users must trust the numbers. I build audit trails, validation rules, and reconciliation and de-duplication of data from many sources. I also show users where a result came from.

Shiny performance and UX. I find slow reactives, add loading states, and give users undo and redo.

Bayesian marketing mix models and forecasts. I build Bayesian MMM and forecasts in R with brms. I have 3+ years of experience with media budgets for large US clients.

Workshops and talks. I give hands-on sessions on production Shiny, on testing Shiny apps, and on Shiny in regulated settings.
